Sims Drafting Services was built around a simple idea: good projects start with clear plans.

My name is Greg Sims, and I bring a long, experienced background in design, drafting, engineering, project management, cabinetry, manufacturing, and residential construction to every project I take on. Before starting this business, I spent more than a decade working in the store fixture, architectural millwork, and manufacturing industries, helping turn ideas into detailed drawings, coordinated project documents, and real-world built products.

My experience has included everything from custom cabinetry and commercial casework to residential construction details, retail fixture programs, CNC-driven manufacturing, and large-scale project management. Over the years, I’ve worked closely with clients, contractors, engineers, production teams, installers, vendors, and designers, which gave me a broad understanding of how projects move from concept to drawing, from drawing to quote, and from quote to construction.

I studied Industrial Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design, with a minor in Interaction Design, which shaped the way I approach both form and function. I care about how things look, but I care just as much about how they work, how they are built, and whether the person on the other end of the drawing can actually use it.

That practical, build-focused mindset is at the heart of Sims Drafting Services. Whether you’re planning a home remodel, an addition, a garage, a sunroom, a commercial upfit, or simply need accurate drawings of an existing space, my goal is to help bring clarity to the process. I work with homeowners, contractors, and business owners to create clean, useful drawings that support planning, pricing, permitting, and construction.

I understand that every project is a little different. Some clients come in with sketches and measurements. Some have a fully formed idea. Some just know their space is not working and need help figuring out what is possible. Wherever you are in the process, I can help turn that rough idea into something clear, organized, and ready for the next step.
